Start with the problem, not the solution. Most design failures happen upstream. I spend time framing the problem properly so teams can move faster and make better decisions later.
Get close to where the work actually happens. I sit with engineering and operations, not just other designers. The best decisions come from being in the workflow, not reviewing it from a distance.
Make the thinking visible. Design decisions are artefacts. I document rationale and trade-offs so teams can revisit decisions as products, priorities, and constraints evolve.
